Introduction:

Flavorite  enables young producers to have an affordable way to reach their goal of becoming succesful producers in todays music industry

Theory lectures and one on one teaching time delivered by Teo Orlando, who is an experienced sound engineer provide the basis for preparing students for work in recording studios, at live sound venues and produce their own releases.

The Intensive and workshop courses are to enable students to have the knowledge to work in the recording industry.

Course Overview:

This course is built on the structure of producing a track. Starting from finding your first kick to the final product. During this time students will learn how to choose sounds, arrangement, EQing, effecting, frequencies, pre-mastering, post mastering, drum programming, building bass lines, synthesis, creative motivation, fine tuning, vocal recording and effecting, mixing board usage, recording of live insturments and knowledge about specific plug ins and software synths.

At the end of the course will be a one day workshop with Lori J Ward where students will be able to find out details about business management, record label management, booking gigs and all round information session about getting your music released, starting your own label or booking your gigs in a professional way.

Course Times and Duration

Things needed to be considered for this course

1. Send 3 samples of work. For example links to mixes, remixes or original tracks you have produced.

2. A list of your top 5 labels and DJ’s also your favorite 3 genres of music

3. Personal Laptop (Mac or PC) and headphones

4. Abelton 8.0 Programmed installed

5. Anything else you would like to send that would help us to discover who you are as a musician and person.

The course will be based on the level of the student’s knowledge, therefore no exact daily outline can be pre-determined. The mentor will then see what the student needs to spend more or less time on.

At the end of the course the student will not only have learned how to produce a quality track but will also have their track released. It will be featured on a Flavorite Music new artists compilation. We at flavorite not only want to enrich young producers knowledge, we also want to be part of getting them on their way to their goal and exposing their music on an International level to be sold on places like Beatport , Itunes and over 140 other online outlets.
